Amy Ross's artistic style is based on breaking and experimenting with the limits that separate the real from the imaginary, mixing different elements of the world around her: flora-fauna, human-animal...

Amy's funghis are no ordinary funghis: they are half fungi, half human. Fantastic figures that dance between two worlds, making you doubt what is real and what is not.

"In my collages I take a mad scientist approach to creating imaginary characters."

By Humans

Her artistic universe has always been strongly influenced by nature and mythology, full of hybrid characters that merge human parts with other animal and vegetable parts. Her "nature morphs" inhabit a hypothetical world where everything is possible.

All of Amy's works are handmade, even if that takes longer. In her collages she uses old books and prints she finds in second hand bookstores.
